Wedding planning is exciting… right up until you open the budget spreadsheet ♡ One of the first questions couples ask us is how much a wedding planner actually costs in Vancouver. The honest answer? It depends on how much help you want. Here's a friendly breakdown of your options, what affects the price, and how to make the most of your budget.

Full planning, partial planning or day-of coordination?

Most wedding planners offer three levels of support. Here is how they work at Kashta Events:

  • Full planning — we're with you from the very first idea to the last dance: budget, venue, vendors, design, timeline and the day itself. Full planning starts at $2,000.

  • Partial planning — already booked a few things? We jump in and take it the rest of the way. Partial planning starts at $1,200.

  • Day-of coordination — you've done the planning, we run the show so you can actually be a guest at your own wedding. Day-of packages start at $400, $650 and $1,000, depending on hours and support.

What affects the cost?
  • Guest count and venue size — bigger rooms and more guests mean more setup, more vendors and more hands on deck.

  • How much decor you want — a simple, elegant setup costs less than a full room transformation with florals, drapery and statement pieces.

  • Number of events — mehndi, maiyan, sangeet, ceremony and reception each need their own setup and coordination.

  • Your timeline — booking early gives you more choice and less stress. We suggest 1–3 months ahead for weddings, and earlier in peak season.

  • Location — we serve Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, Langley and the Lower Mainland. Delivery and travel fees may apply further out.

Don't forget the decor

Planning and decor often go hand in hand. If you'd like us to style your space too, our hall decor packages start at $450, $600 and $1,200, and home event setups start at $250. Every package is fully customizable, so you only pay for what you actually need. See everything on our Packages page.

Is a wedding planner worth it?

We might be a tiny bit biased ♡ but a good planner saves you time, helps you avoid costly mistakes, and handles the vendor wrangling and timelines so you're not answering phone calls on your wedding day. Most of our couples tell us the peace of mind was worth every penny.

Tips to stretch your budget
  • Pick your must-haves first (florals? lighting? a dreamy stage?) and put your budget there.

  • Be upfront about your budget. We'll design around it, not over it.

  • Book a free consultation early so you can compare options without any pressure.
